Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell is attending AAM2025, the 32nd Annual Meeting of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), currently underway in Abuja, Nigeria.
This prestigious event brings together African and Caribbean leaders, policymakers and business executives under the theme “Building the Future on Decades of Resilience.”
Prime Minister Mitchell is scheduled to participate in the Presidential Panel, a high-level session that includes heads of state and government, discussing strategies to transform trade, attract investment, and accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Sen. Claudette Joseph, Attorney General and Minister for Legal Affairs, Labour and Consumer Affairs, is also attending the event as a participant in a dynamic panel to discuss the deepening of ties between Africa and the Caribbean.
The meetings and associated activities take place from 25–27 June, commencing with 3 days of seminars, engaging plenaries, breakout sessions and side events. AAM2025 will then culminate with a closed session of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 28 June.
Prime Minister Mitchell will return to state on Friday, 27 June. In his absence, Honourable Andy Williams, Minister for Mobilisation, Implementation and Transformation, will act as Prime Minister.
