The Investment Migration Agency (IMA) of Grenada is pleased to announce its official sponsorship of the 2025 Grenada Association of Principals of Secondary Schools (GAPSS) Intercol Championships.

With a contribution of $100,000, the IMA is reaffirming its commitment to youth and sports development by ensuring the full 3-day event will be broadcast live and free of charge to the public, broadening access and strengthening national support for Grenada’s rising athletes.

This investment goes beyond financial backing; it reflects IMA Grenada’s wider mission to invest in the nation’s future by creating opportunities that foster character, discipline and national pride. By removing barriers to access, the agency aims to deepen community engagement and shine a spotlight on the exceptional talent emerging from Grenada’s secondary schools.

To elevate school spirit and engagement, the IMA will also re-introduce the popular Vibe Champion competition, awarding multiple $250 prizes during the first 2 days to the group showing the most supportive school fan base. This follows the success of the initiative at the 2024 National Relay Meet and is expected to generate excitement and unity among students and supporters.

Additionally, the IMA will launch a dedicated social media competition, offering 20 students the chance to win season passes for free entry to the full Intercol schedule.

Together, these efforts form part of a broader vision to create a more inclusive and connected Intercol experience, one that unites the nation in celebration of its youth and their boundless potential.

“This sponsorship represents an investment in national spirit and the power of connection,” said Rea Burke, Marketing and Communications officer. “By making Intercol freely accessible, celebrating school pride and involving students through creative digital engagement, we are helping to build a deeper sense of belonging and unity. These are the foundations of strong, confident communities, and it is a privilege to support the young people who embody our nation’s future.”

IMA Grenada’s partnership with GAPSS is a powerful reflection of its commitment to investing in Grenada’s youth and the values that will shape Grenada’s sustainable development.

They should have given the kids the money to start businesses instead.
