Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell is scheduled to attend the 76th Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Authority Meeting and Accession Ceremony of St Martin to the OECS to be held from 18–21 March 2025.

The 76th Meeting of the OECS Authority is being hosted under the Chairmanship of Honourable Philip J Pierre, Prime Minister of St Lucia. The meeting will bring together Heads of Government, ministers and representatives from the OECS Commission, as well as international development partners to discuss key regional matters affecting the Eastern Caribbean.

The OECS Authority meeting serves as the highest decision-making forum of the organisation, where member states deliberate on policies and strategies to advance regional integration, economic cooperation, and sustainable development.

The 76th OECS Authority meeting will focus on the following OECS Operational Matters including:

  • Free Movement of Persons Regime and Implementation of Relevant Legislative Framework
  • Sustainable Tourism
  • Implementation of the OECS Development Strategy

Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell welcomes the inclusion of St Martin as the 3rd French associate member state to the OECS. “This meeting comes at a crucial time when our region needs collective action and collaboration to address our shared challenges for the people of the region,” the Prime Minister expressed.

Other members of the Grenada delegation will include Honourable Joseph Andall, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, and H E Aaron Moses, OECS Commissioner.

Honourable Andy Williams will serve as Prime Minister in the absence of Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell.

The Opening Ceremony of the 76th Meeting of the OECS Authority and Accession Ceremony of St Martin to the OECS will be held on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, at 4:30 pm via OECS Facebook and YouTube pages.

A press briefing will bring the curtains down on the 76th Authority proceedings on 20 March.
