Grenada’s event calendar welcomes an exciting new addition with the launch of Love Fest 2025, a one-day festival celebrating love, music, and connection.
Set for Saturday, 15 February 2025, at the scenic Quarantine Point Recreational Park, Love Fest offers a uniquely curated Valentine-themed experience, blending live entertainment, interactive activities, and cultural engagement.
Festival Director and Founder of Upstage, Chrislyn Lashington, highlights Love Fest as a key addition to Grenada’s entertainment landscape, filling a gap in the country’s post-holiday event lineup while providing a signature experience that appeals to locals and visitors. “Love Fest is designed to offer a high-quality, immersive festival experience during one of the most vibrant seasons in Grenada,” said Lashington. “It’s not just a concert, but a cultural and social event that allows people to celebrate love in all its forms — whether romantic, platonic, or self-love — while enjoying world-class entertainment in an unforgettable setting.”
A festival curated for music, experience and community
Love Fest features a lineup of live band performances carefully selected to create an engaging and high-energy atmosphere. The 2025 lineup includes:
- Ajamu
- Boyzie & The Bad Squad Band
- Khole Baldeo
- SOLID The Band
- Pan Wizards
Additionally, Fearless Kevon, Mr Cheeks, and DJ Danny will provide curated DJ sets throughout the evening, ensuring a seamless blend of energy, passion, and entertainment.
Beyond the music, Love Fest offers a variety of interactive and cultural experiences, including:
- Chocolate making with Tri-Island Chocolate
- Candle making with Luxurious Scents
- Latin Dancing Class
- Singles Mixer
- BeachBum Beauty Bar offering massages, makeup, and body art
The Food Village at Love Fest will feature an outdoor dining experience, offering a selection of Grenadian and international cuisine, plus a drink and cocktail bar.
A cultural and economic boost for Grenada
With its focus on artistry, local engagement, and experiential entertainment, Love Fest is positioned to contribute meaningfully to Grenada’s cultural and creative economy. The event is expected to attract both local attendees and international visitors, providing business opportunities for vendors, service providers, and local creatives, while enhancing the island’s reputation as a must-visit cultural destination.
Philanthropic partnership: A Rose for A Home
In addition to providing an unforgettable festival experience, Love Fest has partnered with the Girl Guides Association of Grenada for a special Valentine’s fundraising initiative, “A Rose for A Home.”
This initiative aims to raise funds to rebuild the Guides Hut, the headquarters for the Girl Guides of Grenada. By purchasing a rose, attendees will directly contribute to helping young girls reclaim their space for leadership, learning, and community building. Love Fest is proud to support this cause, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to love not just as a celebration but as an act of giving back.

Love Fest

I think that joe brown’s attempt to throw cold water on the “Love Fest” initiative is a clear example of the malaise that continues to cripple development in Grenada and other BLACK-majority countries. As an AFRICAN People, we should make every effort to “Praise the light rather than curse the darkness”. In other words, we should be happy to see an entity working to provide Grenadians and visitors to the Spice Iles with an alternative to just going on the beach when there is so little else to do.
They need to define love before having a fest
