On Thursday, 6 February, the Government of Grenada hosted its inaugural Fireside Chat as part of the 51st Anniversary of Independence celebrations.

The event featured Nigerian business magnate Aliko Dangote, one of Africa’s most successful entrepreneurs, in conversation with Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell, themed “Entrepreneurship and Leadership: Cultivating a Growth Mindset for Success.”

The event, which took place at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, attracted over 400 young entrepreneurs from various fields, owners of small and medium enterprises, and students from across the tri-island state.

Focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation, the discussion offered valuable insights for Grenada’s economic development. Dangote shared with the audience his rewarding journey and offered advice to aspiring young entrepreneurs.

“Start with something you know very well, do your homework, and stay committed — anything is possible.”
– Aliko Dangote
