POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Services Underwriter – Grenada is expected to be dedicated to providing unfailing support to all stakeholders in the unit to ensure customer satisfaction as well as contribute to the sustainable growth and development of business for The Beacon. The Underwriter will have the ability to bind cover up to a specified amount, provide quotes, manage claims and receivables, deal with customer service issues and engage in marketing of The Beacon’s services.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide timely quotations for all classes of business in keeping with The Beacon’s guidelines and approved Limits of Authority
- Bind Coverage for quotations provided and accept New Business for all classes of insurance in keeping with The Beacon’s guidelines and approved Limits of Authority
- Provide immediate Proof of Cover as may be required
- To provide timely sign-off on all policy and other documents as required
- Continuously ensure compliance with all The Beacon’s guidelines, manuals, corporate policies and SOPs
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all entries made on The Beacon’s core operating system
- To provide technical advice to Customers, Agents and Underwriters when necessary
- Timely response to all customer queries and requests
- Complete any job-related function relevant to the Sales and Business Development Division that may be required
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1–6 years experience in general insurance underwriting
- Minimum 5 CXC passes, must include Math and English (No less than a grade 2)
- Certificate of Proficiency or equivalent (GI)
- BDI/CII Cert/AINS or equivalent (GIII)
