The Ministry of Social and Community Development, Housing and Gender Affairs, in collaboration with Cuso International, is proud to announce a series of impactful activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive action against gender-based violence (GBV) in observance of the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign.
The campaign will feature a series of activities and events from 25 November to 10 December, designed to educate, engage, and inspire action against GBV.
Key Campaign Highlights:
- Social Media Campaign: Throughout the 16 Days of Activism, we will be sharing daily posts on social media platforms to inform and engage the public. These posts will highlight important facts, survivor stories, and support resources.
- National Candlelight Vigil: We invite the entire nation to join us on 5 December at the Esplanade Mall from 6 pm for a national candlelight vigil. This solemn event will honour the victims and survivors of gender-based violence and strengthen our collective commitment to creating a safer and more equitable society.
“We encourage everyone to take part in these activities, share our messages on social media, and attend the vigil,” said Jacqueline Pascal, In-Country Programme Officer for Cuso International. “Together, we can foster a culture of respect and equality and take significant steps toward eradicating gender-based violence in our communities.”
Join us in our commitment to end gender-based violence and to promote a society where everyone can live free from fear and violence.
Let’s unite for change!
