The Embassy of the Republic of Chile, in collaboration with the Government of Grenada, is offering an online international course in “Community–Based Disaster Risk Management Plans” to be taught in Spanish from 30 September to 10 November 2024.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
Successful applicants will be awarded a scholarship that will cover 100% of the following items:
- Tuition and fees for the training programme
- A digital certificate of completion and participation, as appropriate, issued by the SENAPRED Academy
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a citizen of one of the countries invited to the course and reside in one of the invited countries. Should the applicant be residing temporarily in a country other than the country of citizenship, the application must be made via the focal point of the country of which they are a citizen
- Must be nominated by their government in accordance with the process indicated in Section XI
- Must not be a member of the Armed Forces and/or National Defence
- Applicants should be part of their corresponding National Civil Protection System, National Civil Defence System or Disaster Risk Management System
- It is desirable that applicants occupy positions that influence decision-making at the local level within their country’s corresponding National Civil Protection System or Disaster Risk Management System
- Must have an advanced or equivalent level of written and spoken Spanish or English
- Must have access to the internet for at least 6 hours per week to attend online classes
