In an initial response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl in our sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) has taken swift action to provide much-needed relief aid to the affected community of Petite Martinique.
Through our Tourism Enhancement Fund, GHTA has purchased over $15,000 worth of relief goods and supplies to support the residents of Petite Martinique during this challenging time.
Partnering with one of our esteemed dive sector members, Aquanauts, GHTA coordinated the transportation and distribution of the relief supplies to Petite Martinique. As soon news was received of initial distribution complications, GHTA sprang into action, ensuring that the supplies were collected and distributed within a day, demonstrating our commitment to supporting our sister islands in times of need.

GHTA would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to RAMS Trading Company for their invaluable assistance in facilitating our purchase request and ensuring the smooth coordination of the relief efforts. Their support has been instrumental in enabling us to swiftly respond to the urgent needs of the affected community in Petite Martinique.
This collaborative effort exemplifies the spirit of unity and solidarity within the tourism and private sector and reinforces our commitment to supporting our fellow sister islands in times of crisis. GHTA remains dedicated to playing a proactive role in disaster relief and recovery efforts, working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the communities we serve.
