The devastation from Hurricane Beryl has tested our strength, but our history proves our capacity to recover. We are encouraged by the swift response from the government, local authorities, and the unwavering support from our members, citizens, the diaspora, and our regional and international partners.
We commend the government’s immediate action in addressing urgent needs and its strategic vision for a robust recovery. The chamber reaffirms its commitment to collaborating closely with the government and all stakeholders to support and expedite recovery efforts.
In this crucial period, the chamber commits to:
- Mobilise Resources: Partner with businesses and international organisations to provide essential support to the affected areas
- Advocate for Policy Support: Work with the government to implement policies for rapid recovery and sustainable development
