We are now seeking an Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer with experience in Account Management of Payables and Payroll with impressive administrative and organisational skills to strengthen our team. The new team member must be highly motivated, detailed oriented and results driven!
Core Responsibilities:
The Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing the accounts payable ledger, invoice processing and monthly payment runs for the Company, assist with financial planning and reporting including the processing and auditing of payroll. The successful candidate will also be required to provide efficient, accurate and confidential administrative support to the Area Retail Manager as required and establish rapport and effective communication within all functional areas — both locally and regionally.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is desired
- Professional Accounting designation — ACCA or CGA would be an asset
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Knowledge of MicroPay payroll system, payroll related legislation, statutory requirements and previous experience in end-to-end payroll processing would be an advantage
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite with Intermediate Excel skills
- High level of self-management and self-organisational skills
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Numerate with a high level of accuracy
- A high degree of time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Approachable with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a flexible working schedule in order to meet the needs of the organisation
