Production Manager
Grenada Distillers Limited is seeking a high performing individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative effort in accomplishing the desired objectives of the Company.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for the overall operation of the Distillery, Bottling and Blending operations
- Ensure all production meets the required Quality and ISO requirement
- Conduct data analysis continuously and effect improvement where necessary to optimise the operation, improve efficiency and productivity
- Develop and monitor the performance of persons within your span of control, to ensure people development objectives and staff morale is maintained
- Assist in formulating annual budget
- Liaise with the Quality Control department for efficiency and continuous process improvement
Requirements:
- BSc Degree In Natural Science or Engineering
- Technical knowledge and experience in ISO Food Safety Management Systems and Food Safety Procedures
- A minimum of 5 years experience working in a distillery or similar operation
- Initiate continuous improvement by providing team leadership and production techniques
- Excellent computer skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, and work as part of a team
Physical demand and environmental conditions:
- It’s a physically demanding job and may require lifting and carrying objects
- Working condition is normal for a manufacturing environment and may exceed 40 hours per week to ensure smooth startup and shut down of operations
- Must be able to comfortably wear PPE
- may be exposed to heat, dust and noise
