The Carriacou leg of the National Sports Council election concluded with the appointment of an executive team which is committed to promoting holistic sports development in Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Ayanna Bartholomew was elected Chairman of the Sports Council, with Devon Matheson serving as Vice Chairman, Mary Benjamin as Secretary, and Terrance Logan as Treasurer. Additionally, Lyle Bullen, Leroy Jack, and Cassandra Rock have been appointed as directors.

Bartholomew dedicated herself to securing the future of sports in the tri-island state, emphasising the importance of community engagement and athletes’ development, with a focus on “bigger representation on the international stage.”

The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government extends congratulations to the newly elected officials and expresses confidence in their ability to lead the Sports Council towards greater success.
