We must collaborate to build a secure and resilient cyber future for Grenada and the Caribbean.
An invitation is extended to all IT stakeholders and the public to attend a virtual consultation on cyber security resilience in Grenada and the Caribbean, on Tuesday, 23 April from 10 am to 1 pm.
It will be facilitated by The Caricom Secretariat, under the Caricom Cyber-resilience project 2030 with assistance from USAID, (press release https://caricom.org/caricom–usaidpartner–on–cyber–resilience–strategy–2030–project/)which was launched on 5 March 2024, to strategically and urgently enhance cybersecurity capacity across Caricom States, and will be hosted via Zoom on the following link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86365694150?pwd=2Na1C9VbTht0snlgz3bDO8P0e7G8tG.
The project seeks to reinforce Caricom’s cybersecurity capacity through collaborative governance backed by comprehensive research, which will seek to identify priority capability gaps and opportunities, while also assessing and analysing threats and needs in the regional landscape, so that implementation can be guided and tailored to match needs and realities.
The ultimate goal is to develop a comprehensive Cyber Resilience Strategy that will empower Caricom countries to collectively improve and harmonise their cyber incident policies and response(s), elevate capacities, and cultivate greater resilience in the face of emerging digital challenges, which will, in turn, bolster regional and national legal and regulatory frameworks.
Several consultations have already been concluded, while Grenada’s consultation will be held in conjunction with St Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, St Vincent, and the Grenadines (OECS).
Stakeholders, the business community, the financial sector and private individuals are encouraged to prioritise attendance at this consultation, to make direct input from Grenada’s perspective, into the resultant strategy.
