Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of PROJECT MANAGER.
Role:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Project Manager will be accountable for the successful completion of the Company’s generation expansion projects. This will include the expansion of the Queen’s Park Generating Facilities and the development of solar with battery storage projects in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning and daily execution of these projects.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Highly developed human relations and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational, time management, negotiating and computing capabilities
- Strong technical skills, including planning and designing capital projects and procurement of major plant and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, which includes local resources, external consultants and contractors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills and proficient in the use of scheduling software such as Microsoft Projects
- At least 10 years relevant post-graduate experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering working on similar projects
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Professional qualification in Project Management Professional (PMP) will be advantageous
