Cellular phone services activated for Princess Alice Hospital

13 April 2023

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs (MOHWARA) advises the public that cellular phone service has been activated for the Princess Alice Hospital, at Mirabeau, St Andrew.

The public can call +1 (473) 417-4747 to report any threat to life or health where an immediate response is needed from the Princess Alice Hospital.

This has become necessary to ensure that there is a 24-hour open line of communication with clients and the public in general.

Regular telephone and internet services at the facility were interrupted on 10 April 2023, after a portion of the wall at the Old Church in Grenville, St Andrew fell and disrupted fibre-optic cables that are linked to the hospital services.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs sincerely apologises for any inconvenience the disruptions may have caused, and reassures all concerned that efforts are being made to have the services restored as soon as possible.

The Ministry, management and staff of the Princess Alice Hospital thank all our valued clients for their patience, understanding and support as we continue to strive to provide the best level of care and treatment.

The public will be advised as soon as the telephone service is restored.
