Corporate citizens in Carriacou and Petite Martinique are continuing to partner with the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government to improve the general aesthetics and environment of a number of government properties on the island.
This time, they are supporting the upgrading of the Hillsborough Vendors Market washroom facilities and the beautification of the Carriacou Botanical Gardens.
Patrick Mathurine, Supervisor in the Division of Agriculture within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, said the upgrade of the washroom facilities is being supported by Paddy’s Enterprises with the donation of tiles, as well as with assistance from Hills and Valley Pharmacy, Ken Joseph and Dollarman’s One Stop-paint.
The beautification work at the Botanical Gardens, which includes the painting of picnic tables, is being done by Super’s Cleaning and Painting Services.
Meanwhile, plans are in progress for the construction of a washroom facility at the Botanical Gardens as Government looks at an overall beautification project. The gardens have become one of the areas for hosting activities on the island.
