Eight secondary schools will battle in this year’s National Nutrition Quiz.
The competition begins on Thursday, 4 April in 3 zones; South A & B and East. Three schools will compete in the East (Deluxe Cinema), 2 in South A (St George’s Fish Market) and 3 in South B (Produce Chemist Lab, Tanteen). Zone winners will meet in the Final on Tuesday, 9 April at the Public Workers Union Conference Room, Tanteen. Prizes will be awarded to finalists and winner and all participants will receive certificates of participation.
The National Secondary Schools Nutrition Quiz is part of Grenada Food and Nutrition Council’s (GFNC) effort to educate people on healthy eating and lifestyle and the role of proper nutrition in warding off chronic non-communicable diseases. It’s also an opportunity for students to test their knowledge as part of preparations for CXC exams. Students will be quizzed on a wide range of topics, all covered in the Food and Nutrition syllabus.
Zone winners will meet in the Final on Tuesday, 9 April at the Public Workers Union Conference Room, Tanteen at 9:30 am.
