The Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) conducted its inaugural Emerging Players Programme (EPP) from 2–5 November 2015 at the Grenada National Stadium.

The Emerging Players Programme is a series of coaching clinics and workshops delivered by highly qualified personnel.

Mr Graeme West, the West Indies Cricket Board High Performance Programme Director, facilitated the first session which involved 15 of the country’s emerging cricketers as well as 8 of the GCA’s coaches.

Dwain Gill, President of the GCA, said the programme was off to a successful start.

“It was refreshing to see coaches sharing information and experiences. At the end of the day we want our players and coaches exposed to the latest coaching methods. Mr West brought a wealth of knowledge and information, having worked with players and coaches in the UK and in the Caribbean. I thought that he was well received,” Gill explained.

The second phase of the EPP will be held in early 2016.
