The 2nd Joint meeting of the Steering Committee and Technical Working Group for the development of the National Plan 2030 was held on Friday, 26 June 2015, at the Grenada National Stadium.
The focus of the meeting was reviewing/providing updates of the decisions taken at the 1st Meeting held on 5 June 2015, and participating in a visioning exercise for the National Plan 2030.
After much discussion, the Meeting reached a number of decisions, including the following:
- A professional media person/firm to assist with public outreach for National Plan 2030
- Appointment of Mr William Joseph as Deputy Chairman of the Steering Committee.
- Establishment a Code of Conduct for all members of the Steering Committee.
- Work will continue on the visioning exercise for the National Plan at the Third Joint Meeting of the Steering Committee and Technical Working Group. The visioning exercise is being facilitated by Mr Leon Charles.
The Civil Society grouping was commended for their submission on the consultative process, and the meeting agreed that the draft Framework prepared by the Technical Working Group, will be revised to take account of several suggestions made by the Civil Society Organisations.
The next joint meeting of the committees will be held on 17 July 2015.
