PC 814 Smart Dies At Requin Beach
On Friday 24 October, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) lost one of its officers. PC #814 Michael Smart, died while bathing at Requin Beach in St David. Officer Smart who is originally from Hermitage, St Patrick has been a resident of Requin for several years.
He is reported to have encountered difficulties while bathing on the beach just before 12:00pm. Attempts to resuscitate him proved futile. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed.
Lost: Bag And Eau de Parfum
A Canadian couple is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating a leopard print tan colored ladies’ handbag, which was inadvertently left behind on a Grand Anse bus at approximately 12:30pm on Friday 24 October, 2014.
The couple disembarked the bus in the vicinity of Dusty Highway, and the bag, which was discovered missing, contains valuables and other important documents.
Anyone with information about the bag is asked to contact the South St George Police Station at telephone number 444 4454, Community Relations Department at 405 5324 or Police Headquarters at 440 3999.
A box of eau de parfum was found on Scott Street, St George at about 09:00am on October 24. The owner is asked to contact Central Police Station at telephone number 440 2244 or 440 2245.

Drug Bust
A police operation on Thursday 23 October, resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cannabis and the detention of three men. They were apprehended when the vehicle in which they were travelling was intercepted by police in the Bailles Bacolet, St David area. The men, all of whom are from St George, are currently assisting police with their investigations.
In another operation conducted in Content, St David, a total of 1500 cannabis trees ranging from 4 feet to 8 feet were uprooted. No one was arrested. Investigations continue.
