On Thursday, 30 August 2018, the Market Access and Rural Enterprise Development Programme (MAREP) held an official handing-over ceremony of irrigation materials to farmers at the Ministry of Works facility at Beausejour, St George.

The irrigation supplies/input consisted of water tanks, hoses, shade netting, pipe fittings and lines costing approximately EC$45,990. The recipients of the supplies (18 in Carriacou and 10 in Grenada) successfully completed an Irrigation Training on the Maintenance and Operation of Irrigation Technology in 2016.
