Other speeches were delivered by representatives of the Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry (MINREX) and the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and delivering a message on behalf of Ambassador Claris Charles was student Karla Mc Donald.

The following students received awards for exceptional academic performance (Titular de Oro or a GPA of 5):

Apart from students and Cuban officials, invitees also included Cubans of Grenadian descent, embassy staff, former Cuban Ambassador to Grenada Maria Caridad Balaguer and her husband, St Lucian journalist Earl Bousquet, plus many students from other countries in the Caribbean and Africa. The activities ended with dancing.

On Sunday morning the students departed to their respective universities.
