The Ministry of Sports will be hosting a series of youth cricket tours in July. Steve Mahon, Cricket Coach at the Ministry of Sports is responsible for organising the cricket tours to be held in Grenada for UK and Caribbean schools and organisations.

To wrap up the ministry’s 2016-2017 cricket season, the ministry will host 2 UK-based schools and a combined team from Barbados. The 100-person team from Barbados is made up of various secondary schools from that island. The 2 UK schools are Sevenoaks School (20 persons) and King Edward Grammar School (35 persons).

UK schools and organisations come to Grenada every year, for a one or two-week cricket tour. During their time here they will compete against some of Grenada’s top schools and clubs in cricket, and also enjoy the Pure Grenada experience through tours to various historic sites, meeting our elite cricketers and donating sports equipment to clubs.
