Hillsborough Secondary School (HSS) has secured a spot in the final round of the 4th GUT Cooperative Credit Union’s Secondary School Financial Literacy Quiz.
They keenly battled the Presentation Brothers’ College (PBC) throughout all 3 rounds. At the end of the match, both schools were tied with 75 points each. However, HSS edged out PBC in the tie-break. The overall scores were: HSS 110, PBC 100.
Hillsborough Secondary will meet Mac Donald College (MDC) in the finals on Friday, 2 June at Norton Hall in Saint George’s. MDC triumphed over the Anglican High School 65 points to 50 to advance to the finals. Both HSS and MDC will be preparing to secure the bragging rights as champions, as well as the opportunity to win $3000 for their school and a challenge trophy, among other prizes. This will be Hillsborough’s first time in the finals. The Mac Donald College previously made the final round in 2015.
