The community of River Road in St George was left in a state of mourning, as the lifeless body of a man commonly known as “Sprangal” was found in the St John’s river in that area.

The news of “Sprangal’s” untimely death spread on social media throughout the day on Sunday, 26 March 2017, as residents, family and friends expressed their condolences to the victim’s family.

Police are yet to release the victim’s full name and are treating this as a homicide case until the actual cause of death is determined.

Investigations continue into the matter.
