Grenada’s implementation Minister Alexandra Otway-Noel has congratulated the owners of Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel and Spa, on being named among the top 10 hotels in the world.

The United States Cable News Network (CNN) has ranked Calabash as number 9 in the World and Number 2 in the top 25 hotels in the Caribbean.

alexandra-otway-lgOtway-Noel, Parliamentary Representative for South St George, home of Calabash Hotel, says guests’ feedback have been overwhelming.

“I am so proud to see this business reach the gold standard for service and quality,” said Otway-Noel.

“This accolade awarding them 9th place in the world has been as a result of high praise given by their own guests and, therefore, is so very special and rewarding.”

This elite honour is awarded to the top 1% of all hotels listed on TripAdvisor and is based on reviews and opinions from millions of travellers.

Alongside world-class hotels such as Umaid Bhawan Palace in India, Mirihi Island in the Maldives and Le Manoir au Quat’ Saisons in Oxford-shire UK, Calabash has achieved Trip Advisor’s highest honour and ranked Calabash as No. 9 Hotel in the World, and as No. 2 of the Top 25 Hotels in the Caribbean.

“I want to take the opportunity to congratulate the owners, managers and staff of the Calabash Hotel which has been around for about 50 years boasting very high figures in repeat guests,” the Implementation Minister said.

“They have over the years been a favorite for those seeking to get away from it all in luxury and style tucked away in this outstanding intimate hideaway. As the parliamentary representative for the South, I am so pleased to be able to offer my best wishes to them.”

Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa has recently completed an extensive upgrade project. In addition, the hotel has announced the opening of the much-anticipated Wellness Centre.

“To be named one of the top hotels in the world is every hotelier’s dream,” said Adele Garbutt, Director of Sales & Marketing.

“We are overwhelmed to be placed in these categories with such outstanding hotels and are so proud that Calabash has the ability to stand up there with the best of them. These awards are for our staff and are a testament to what we do here at Calabash.”
