  • Second fixture against St Lucia, scheduled for Sunday, 12 April

Grenada Under-19 endured a tough start to their WINLOTT Inc. Super 6 Windward Islands U19 Tournament campaign on Saturday, 11 April 2026, falling to defending champions Dominica. In a match defined by heavy showers and a steep revised target, the Grenadians were unable to find their rhythm at Benjamin’s Park.

After winning the toss, Grenada elected to field first, inserting Dominica to bat. The decision appeared promising early on, as Grenada’s bowlers kept things disciplined during the early stages. Dominica reached 46 before losing their first wicket on the final ball of the 10th over, when Aaron Edwards dismissed Derwin Lewis (19).

Rain interruptions disrupted the middle overs as Dominica’s Aiden Burton struck 58 from 62 deliveries, including 5 boundaries and 2 sixes, stabilising the innings. Play was eventually halted at 33.3 overs with Dominica positioned at 168/3.

Grenada’s bowling attack was led by Aravinda Bishop, who captured 2 for 46 from his 10 overs, while Aaron Edwards provided economical support with 1 for 25 from his 6 overs.

Grenada’s bowling figures

  • Jayonn Henry: 0/19 from 4 overs
  • Aaron Edwards: 1/25 from 6 overs
  • Jeremy Edwards: 0/15 from 5 overs
  • Aravinda Bishop: 2/46 from 10 overs
  • Desrond Mitchell: 0/41 from 8 overs
  • Ron Charles: 0/9 from 0.3 overs

Following a prolonged delay, officials confirmed a change of innings and applied the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method, setting Grenada a daunting revised target of 209 runs from just 29 overs.

Grenada’s chase was led by Raekeim Lewis Charles, who scored 35 from 62 deliveries. He shared a 36-run opening partnership with Jordan John (18) and a 26-run second-wicket stand with captain Khavaughn Bartholomew (16). With the run rate steadily climbing, the Grenadians attempted to accelerate the run scoring but were met by a very efficient Dominican bowling attack, with Grenada only managing 27 runs off the next 5 overs before losing Lewis Charles (89/3).

From 90 for 3 in the 19th over, the Grenadians lost 4 wickets for 22 runs. The innings concluded at 111 for 7 after the allotted 29 overs.

Grenada’s batting figures

  • Raekeim Lewis Charles: 35
  • Jordan John: 18
  • Khavaughn Bartholomew: 16
  • Jamie Wickham: 11 (not out)
  • Christian Niles: 2
  • Jayonn Henry: 6
  • Desrond Mitchell: 1
  • Aravinda Bishop: 3
  • Ron Charles: 0 (not out)

Grenada will look to rebound in their second fixture against St Lucia, scheduled for Sunday, 12 April 2026.
