The Grenada Development Bank (GDB) is seeking to fill the position of Loans Officer.
Job Summary
To identify, evaluate, appraise, recommend and monitor loans and projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Seeks new viable projects to finance
- Stays abreast of new types of loans and other financial products and services offered by the Bank in order to better meet customers’ needs
- Explains to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms and conditions
- Interviews applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process
- Analyses applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
- Completes application forms thoroughly with the assistance of the proposed borrower
- Records all loan applications and assigns an application number
- Conducts security appraisal visits and completes security appraisal forms
- Obtains and compiles copies of loan applicants’ credit history, corporate financial statements, and other financial information
- Monitors loan repayment and performance and ensures that payments are made in a timely manner
- Any other related duties
Qualifications & Experience
- 1st degree/tertiary level education in Accounting, Business or a related field

Other similar qualifications and related experience

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other loan management systems
- Valid driver’s license
