The Division of Youth within the Ministry of Youth and Sports invites applications from suitably qualified Grenadian nationals to serve as Facilitators for the 2026 Parish-Level Youth Parliament Training Programme.
The Youth Parliament Programme is a flagship civic education initiative aimed at shaping the next generation of Grenadian leaders. The programme focuses on building confidence, strengthening public speaking and critical thinking skills, and deepening participants’ understanding of parliamentary rules, leadership, and governance.
Applicants must possess prior facilitation experience and demonstrate a proven ability to work effectively with youth in educational, civic, or community development settings.
Successful facilitators will be engaged in one or more of the following training areas:
- Public Speaking and Effective Communication
- Effective Leadership and Governance
- Parliamentary Rules and Procedures
Training sessions are scheduled to commence in April 2026 and conclude in June 2026. Facilitators must be available to commit 2 to 3 days per week throughout the training period. Sessions will be conducted at schools and community centres across all parishes.
Following the parish-level sittings, top-performing youth parliamentarians who demonstrate exceptional leadership, meaningful contributions to debate, and a strong commitment to community service will be eligible to contest in the Second National Youth Parliament Elections, scheduled for December 2026, to serve as National Youth Parliamentarians.
