We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our maintenance and construction team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of carpentry tasks, ensuring that all work meets high safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, cabinets, shelving, furniture, and fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
- Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and stairs
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches and specifications to determine project requirements
- Perform finishing work such as sanding, varnishing, and painting as needed
- Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
- Work collaboratively with other trades and team members on various projects
- Estimate costs and materials, selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment
- Provide excellent customer service
- Instruct apprentices
Qualifications and skills:
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a carpenter.
- Experience with both rough and finished carpentry is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company databases and spreadsheets
- Review and verify information for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and organise electronic and paper files
- Generate reports and assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Support management and field teams with data-related requests
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
Qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 5 CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in data entry or administrative support is an asset
