The Grenada Transport Commission Spice Schools Bus Pilot Programme, launched earlier this year is continuing into its final two and a half months.
The pilot is designed to transform student transport by making it safer, more reliable, and more affordable for families. These final months allow for additional monitoring, fine-tuning, and engagement with students, parents, and schools to ensure the program’s long-term success.
Innovative Passenger Information System (PIS)
A key feature of the pilot is the integration of the Passenger Information System (PIS), which provides real-time updates on bus routes, schedules and student movements. This technology improves accountability, efficiency and communication with parents and schools, reinforcing the programme’s commitment to safety and reliability.
