The Government and people of Grenada join with the Ramdhanny family in mourning the passing of a former member of the Cabinet of Grenada, Lyden John Ramdhanny.

Ramdhanny, born 6 April 1952, in St Andrew, was a dedicated Cabinet Minister and esteemed businessman who served Grenada during the People’s Revolutionary Government (PRG) with great passion, integrity, and commitment.

Ramdhanny exemplified a spirit of unity and hard work as he served in both public service and private business. His contributions to our nation’s development and his unwavering commitment to public service have left a lasting impact on the people of Grenada.

During his time in office, Ramdhanny’s leadership and vision helped shape policies that advanced the country. His legacy will be remembered with great respect and admiration. Notably, Lyden Ramdhanny will be remembered for his philanthropic efforts and unwavering contributions to education. He embodied the transformative power of education, and his advocacy for scholarship initiatives, vocational training, and adult literacy programs has left an indelible mark on countless lives.

The Ramdhanny family wishes to honour Lyden’s expressed desire for a private funeral with immediate family. If you wish to pay tribute to him, the family invites you to visit https://www.online-tribute.com/LydenRamdhanny. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support and thanks everyone for their consideration during their time of mourning.

On behalf of the Government of Grenada, we hope that the Ramdhanny family will find comfort in knowing that our thoughts and prayers and those of countless Grenadians are with them during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

It appears that this government has very little knowledge of Mr. Rhamdanny. His greatest contribution was Tourism and no mention was made of that.
