The Ministry of Mobilisation, Implementation, and Transformation (MIT) is launching a national cleanup campaign with immediate effect to address the significant impact of the ongoing heavy rainfall across Grenada.
This initiative calls on all Grenadians to unite in the effort to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of our communities. The focus of the campaign is on clearing drains and pathways of debris to reduce the risk of flooding and ensure public safety.
The ministry encourages all citizens, organisations, and community groups to actively participate in cleaning and maintaining their surroundings. The public’s support is vital to protecting lives, infrastructure, and the environment during this period of adverse weather conditions.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Physical Development, Public Utilities, and Civil Aviation and Transportation, MIT is also coordinating efforts to address landslides.
