The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Export Development is pleased to announce the appointment of Sabrina Dumont as First Secretary at the Embassy of Grenada in Havana, Cuba.
Dumont joins the diplomatic team led by Ambassador Glen Noel, Head of Grenada’s Mission in Havana. Together, they will work to strengthen Grenada’s diplomatic engagement with the Government and the people of Cuba.
With an extensive background in international relations and public service, Dumont brings valuable experience to her role as First Secretary. She will focus on advancing Grenada’s diplomatic, trade, and cultural priorities, working closely with Cuban counterparts, to foster collaboration in areas of mutual interest such as healthcare, education, and economic development that have marked the deep and enduring ties between Grenada and the Republic of Cuba.
Dumont’s appointment underscores Grenada’s commitment to expanding its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean, in alignment with the Ministry’s strategic goal of fortifying regional cooperation, enhancing partnerships, and promoting shared development objectives. Her role in Cuba is expected to further Grenada’s mission to build lasting, mutually beneficial relationships that support the well-being and prosperity of both nations.
Speaking on her new role, Dumont expressed her enthusiasm to serve Grenada in this capacity, stating, “It is an honour to serve Grenada in Havana and support our nation’s mission in Cuba under Ambassador Noel’s leadership. I look forward to contributing to the strong foundation of cooperation and friendship that has long existed between our countries.”
