Prime Minister and Chairman of Caricom Honourable Dickon Mitchell will join leaders of the world this week at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79).
This session opened on Tuesday, 10 September 2024 with the first day of the high-level General Debate to begin on Tuesday, 24 September 2024.
The theme for the general debate is “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations.”
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to participate in the Concordia Summit on Monday, 23 September with its key area of focus being “Navigating this New Era.”
The delegation also includes the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development Honourable Joseph Andall, other ambassadors and government officials.
The delegation will also visit the Embassy of Grenada in Washington DC to participate in a Town Hall Meeting and 50th Anniversary of Independence celebrations.
Honourable Dennis Cornwall will act as Prime Minister in the absence of Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell.
