The new budget total is now EC$1,548.1 million and must be spent by 31 December 2024. Finance Minister Dennis Cornwall said the supplementary reflects a 17% increase in expenditure which is largely attributed to an increase in capital expenditure following the passage of Hurricane Beryl on 1 July.

EC$7,000,000 of the amount will be used for construction works to Marquis Bridge, Maurice Bishop Highway, bridges, various concrete roads, culverts and retaining walls around the island, including HA Blaize Street wall, and a further EC$6,000,000 will be used to renovate the Grenville Police Station, Central Police Station, Gouyave Police Station, Police Headquarters, Supreme Court Registry, Ministry of Education Building, Ministry of Agriculture Building Grenville, and Mirabeau Abattoir.
The Ministry of Mobilisation, Implementation, and Transformation is set to receive EC$24,500,000, and EC$8,000,000 will be used for the rehabilitation and construction of small roads within the six parishes throughout Grenada. “This represents approximately 20 small roads. To Facilitate the completion of 26 houses and the completion of 15 new houses in St Patrick,” said the supplementary budget explanatory notes.
The MIT ministry will also spend EC$15,000,000 on the reconstruction of approximately 200 homes on mainland Grenada in the parishes of St Mark and St Patrick. “EC$50,000 per home, this includes labour and material and equipment cost if deemed necessary,” said the budget.
