On 4 July 2024, Ambassador Wei Hongtian handed over a US$100,000 donation from the Red Cross Society of China to the Grenada Government to assist the disaster-relief effort after Hurricane Beryl.
Ambassador Wei said that China is committed to the development of bilateral relations and always provides Grenada with urgent help when necessary.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Grenada Hon. Joseph Andall received the donation on behalf of the Grenada Government. He expressed gratitude for China providing generous support at the earliest time possible and confirmed that the people in need will fully benefit from the donation.
