The Grenada Transport Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of David Bartholomew, a distinguished Trinidadian national, as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bartholomew officially assumed office on 4 March 2024.

With more than 25 years of experience in fleet management, engineering, and procurement, and 15 years in executive management and corporate planning, Bartholomew brings expertise and a proven track record to this vital role. His exceptional leadership, strategic acumen, and problem-solving skills position him well to drive the transformation in the transportation sector.

Commenting on his appointment, Bartholomew stated, “I am honoured to lead the Grenada Transport Commission and to be a part of the team that is entrusted with such a pivotal role of planning, organising and the implementation of all that is necessary for the creation of a safe, efficient and reliable transportation system moving into the 21st century.”

Before assuming this role, Bartholomew served as a senior engineer and later as a consultant at the Public Service Transport Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago. He also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Vehicle Maintenance Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (VIMCOTT). He is an alumnus of the University of Westminster, and Bolton University, UK, and the San Fernando and John S Donaldson Technical Institute.

The Grenada Transport Commission plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for citizens, visitors, and goods throughout Grenada.

The Fleet Management and Maintenance (FMM) sector of the Caribbean Engineering Technology Fraternity (i.e. the technologists, technicians, craftsmen & tradesmen) is well-pleased with David’s appointment. He is well-poised to “raise the bar”, not only in Grenada, but throughout the region. We are all proud and excited

It is indeed a pleasure that David Bartholomew has been afforded this opportunity to leade the transport commission of Grenada. I have known him since 2010 and during this time he have and continue to demonstrate a keen vision withrespect to all aspect of public transport. Congratulations from Carol Noel past Director of Public Transport Service Coperation of Trinidad and Tobago.

I have know David for many years. Great to see him in this position. I remembered the days I encouraged him to study when he was a mechanic
with the PTSC and VEMCOTT. and study fleet management. In-fact I believe he still has my fleet management book.
I have also worked alongside the Police Garage and supplied equipment.
I know David will do well in my homeland of Grenada. All the best I am due in Grenada in June. See you Pal and good luck. Great to see things are moving forward. I have some ideas for you David.
