Invitation for Expression of Interest
Geotechnical investigations, Testing, Reporting and Design

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa) has commenced the implementation of projects under Component 3 of the GRENADA CLIMATE RESILIENT WATER SECTOR (G-CREWS) Project, which is funded by the GREEN CLIMATE FUND (GCF) through a local branch of the German Development Agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The project supports the integration of climate resilience into Grenada’s water sector by improving Nawasa’s water storage capacity that will ensure sound and climate-responsive regulation of water resource management and will eventually lead to a strengthened institutional and regulatory system for climate-responsive planning and development.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to engage a qualified individual or firm to conduct geotechnical surveys and design work for the installation of water tanks at specific locations throughout Grenada and Carriacou.

Within the scope of these activities, the primary responsibilities of the consultancy include:

    1. Conduct in-situ sampling and testing of soils at specified locations
    2. Conduct laboratory testing of soil samples as required
    3. Compile a report of the findings of the soil study
    4. Complete tank foundation design based on the findings of the soil study

Nawasa invites qualified bidders to submit their Expression of Interest to [email protected] by no later than 3:30 pm (15:30 hours) Eastern Caribbean time on 17 October 2023.

Please ensure that the subject line of your email reads “EOI – Geotechnical Survey For G-CREWS Water Tanks.”

Please refrain from submitting unsolicited technical or price offers or any other documents. Comprehensive tender documents containing all pertinent information for the proposal will only be distributed to eligible consultants, who have expressed an interest.

Nawasa will provide feedback to all companies that submitted expressions of interest regarding the outcome of the evaluation process and their eligibility status for participation in the tendering process.

Nawasa…committed to meeting customers’ needs
