The Grenada Meteorological Service is monitoring moderate to strong winds.
Synopsis: A tight pressure gradient between a 1030mb Atlantic high pressure and a 1008mb low over northern Colombia is sustaining strong winds in the Eastern Caribbean.
Forecast for the State of Grenada: Mostly fair, windy and hazy, with a few light showers during partly cloudy spells. In addition, there is a marine advisory in effect as waves are forecasted to be up to 8 feet in easterly swells.
Potential Impacts:
- Loose objects blown into your path
- Strong winds can result in broken branches and downed trees
- Choppy seas, moderate to rough waters impacting fishermen, beachgoers, small sailboats, and other small crafts
Caution:
- Be aware of the possibility of broken branches, downed trees and loose objects flying
- Be aware of vulnerable, small watercrafts, especially during high tide
