We are seeking a suitably qualified professional to fill the role of Plant Operator/Technician.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Plant Operator/Technician shall demonstrate knowledge of pertinent quality, food safety requirements, energy management, health and safety and environmental plant hazards in their
respective areas of responsibility; and shall assist in the development of new policies/procedures for improvements in these management system requirements. These duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operating and maintaining plant equipment in an efficient and safe manner according to manufacturer requirements, stipulated management systems and local requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Associate degree or certificate in Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration or related field, and
- 4 CXC subjects, minimum of one (1) science
- 3 years’ experience in a similar or related field
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance knowledge
- Possess good troubleshooting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word)
- Valid Class Driver’s Licence
