Art House 473 proudly announces the opening of Dreevay, the 8th edition of the acclaimed Grenada Contemporary exhibition series.
This landmark presentation features 30 artists from Grenada, Barbados, the United Kingdom, Trinidad and Italy, reaffirming the exhibition’s position as one of the southern Caribbean’s most dynamic platforms for contemporary visual art. Over its 8 editions, a total of 107 artists have participated, reflecting the depth and diversity of creative practice emerging from and inspired by the region.
Co-curated by Susan Mains and Asher Mains, the resident director of Art House 473, Dreevay invites audiences to embrace the Caribbean spirit of movement, discovery, and creative wandering. The word “dreevay” — meaning to roam or drift — captures the sense of openness that underlies artistic exploration: art that happens as you go along, sometimes when least expected.
“This exhibition is about what unfolds when artists allow themselves to wander — geographically, emotionally, and conceptually,” notes Asher Mains. “It’s in that in-between space that some of the most authentic expressions of the Caribbean spirit are found.”
Participating artists include: Andrea McLeod, Arthur Daniel, Asher Mains, Atyiah Chetram, Christina Murray, Doliver Morain, Farihah Khan, Feo Feo, Frederika Adam, Gilbert Nero, Janine Murta, Jason Munro, Jessie-Ann Jessamy, John Henry, Jovana Hoschtialek, Kristianne Buxo, Mario Holder, Nedo Tuunainen Delport, Oliver Benoit, Paolo Solei, Roland Benjamin, Rosalba Grimaldos, Roxanne Marquez-Augustine, Russell Watson, Samuel Ogilvie, Suelin Low Chew Tung, Susan Mains, Susan Valentine, Sydney Brow, Velton McQuilkin, and Yudelvis Jesús Rabi Silverio.

As Susan Mains, co-curator at Art House 473 and commissioner of the Grenada National Pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia, explained: “Dreevay continues our mission to show how Grenada and the wider Caribbean are in continuous conversation with the world. Each artist contributes to that dialogue through their own journey — rooted here, yet open to everywhere.”
The exhibition encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media works that examine migration, identity, environment, and imagination through a distinctly Caribbean lens. A special guest from Barbados, Russell Watson, shared his artistic journey in an artist talk on Saturday evening. The connection with photographer and videographer Arthur Daniel of Grenada was immediate. Collaborations to follow!

Dreevay opened on 30 October 2025, from 6–7:30 pm at Art House 473 in Calliste, with free admission to the public. Visitors experienced a vibrant evening of visual storytelling, artist interactions, and cultural exchange. The exhibition continues through 14 November with special events, talks, and workshops to be announced.
