SEALED Tenders are invited by the Grenada Airports Authority (GAA) for a contract to provide Janitorial Services at Maurice Bishop International Airport.
The contracted services will be required in the Air Terminal Building, New Administrative Building, Air Traffic Control Tower, and other ancillary buildings on the airport compound, as outlined in the appendices provided in response to Expressions of Interest.
The GAA emphasises that maintaining a pristine airport environment is essential to the health, safety, and well-being of both employees and passengers. It is critical to engage a janitorial service that delivers reliable, trustworthy, and consistent support across the airport and promotes proactive facilities stewardship. The staff employed by the selected company must function as an extension of the airport team, serving as a key hygiene partner.
The selected Janitorial Service must demonstrate a strong commitment to Quality Assurance by satisfying the following requirements:
- Ensure the effectiveness and consistency of operations to meet customer expectations and maintain a high level of service
- Employ qualified, committed staff who meticulously sanitise and disinfect all areas of the airport
- Provide uniforms for all staff, along with identification badges
- Implement a proven system of ongoing cleaning and sanitisation training
- Facilitate on-the-job training with dedicated supervisors
- Utilise modern sanitisation and disinfecting products and methods
- Assign dedicated staff for the thorough cleaning and disinfecting of washrooms, which are a key indicator of customer experience and satisfaction
- Utilise cleaning tools and equipment that do not compromise safety, security, or environmental sustainability
- Ensure access to an Account Manager and/or a dedicated onsite supervisor to provide a direct line of communication for addressing questions and concerns promptly
- Conduct timely reviews of service
- Perform recurring quality control inspections
- Complete GAA checklists for restrooms and other airport areas per shift, and submit them to the Duty Manager’s Office before the end of each shift
