The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of the International Cuisine Day, held on 3 April 2025, in partnership with the T A Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) Tourism and Hospitality Department.

The event showcased the culinary talents of students and highlighted the rich diversity of Grenada’s food culture.

The GHTA proudly contributed EC$12,500 through its Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) to support food and supplies for this vibrant event. This investment underscores the GHTA’s commitment to empowering the next generation of hospitality leaders and aligns with our mission to support the legacy of Grenada’s tourism industry.

The International Cuisine Day featured a wide array of dishes from various cultures, all prepared by the talented students of TAMCC. Attendees enjoyed a culinary journey that celebrated both local and international flavours, while also witnessing live demonstrations and performances that showcased the creativity and passion of the students.

“The success of International Cuisine Day is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty at TAMCC,” said Arlene Friday, CEO of the GHTA. “We are proud to support initiatives that prepare our youth for careers in the hospitality sector, ensuring a bright future for Grenada’s tourism industry.”

The event also served as a reminder of the importance of the TEF, which is funded by contributions from tourists who donate $1–$2 for every night they stay in Grenada. These funds are directed toward sustainable projects that benefit both the tourism industry and the local community, fostering growth and development throughout the island.

The GHTA extends its heartfelt thanks to all who participated in making the International Cuisine Day a success, including the students, faculty, and community members who attended. Together, we are building a strong foundation for the future of Grenada’s hospitality and tourism sector.
