Petra Roach, Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), has announced her decision not to renew her contract for a 5th year at the helm of the organisation.
She shared this decision with the GTA’s management team and Board of Directors, confirming that she will conclude her tenure in June 2025. Roach will play an active role in supporting the transition process, including assisting in the identification of a new CEO to lead the GTA into its next chapter.
Since joining the GTA in 2021, Roach has been instrumental in navigating Grenada’s tourism sector through the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, stabilising the industry, and setting the foundation for sustained growth. Her visionary leadership, strategic acumen, and passionate advocacy have significantly elevated Grenada’s global profile as a premier destination. Under her stewardship, Grenada experienced notable growth in visitor arrivals, expanded airlift connectivity, and garnered prestigious international recognition.
Reflecting on her time with the GTA, Roach shared, “It has been a fantastic experience being a part of the GTA family. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together in positioning Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique as vibrant, sought-after destinations. The passion and dedication of the team have been inspiring, and I look forward to seeing Grenada’s tourism industry continue to thrive.”
Chairman of the GTA Randall Dolland expressed heartfelt gratitude for Roach’s contributions. “Petra’s impact on Grenada’s tourism industry has been nothing short of transformative. Her dedication, innovative approach, and tireless efforts have positioned Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique as must-visit destinations on the global stage. We are deeply appreciative of her service and leadership, and we extend our sincere well wishes as she prepares for her next chapter.”
The Grenada Tourism Authority remains committed to building on the solid foundation established under Petra Roach’s leadership as it embarks on the process of identifying a successor who will continue to champion Grenada’s tourism growth and sustainability.
GTA

She should have been gone a long time ago.
Good luck Ms. Roach. Keep moving on; we do not need help in finding a replacement; we have lots of capable Greadian who can take this on.
