The Grenada Bureau of Standards is inviting suitable candidates to apply for the following position:
Job Title: Information and Marketing Officer
Responsibilities:
- Greeting visitors to the Bureau’s Resource Centre and assisting them with their enquiries
- Maintaining the bureau’s database of publications at the Resource Centre;
- Development and implementation of a marketing and communication strategy, workplan, campaigns and events to support the strategic plan of the bureau
- Preparing, researching and fact checking, editing communication material for various audiences and ensuring timely dissemination through various communication channels
- Acting as the point person for developing news releases, marketing materials, handling interview requests, preparing factsheets where necessary, social media output and organise press events
- Working closely with regional and international communication/information committees and personnel on communication and marketing
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of matters relating to the organisation and issues under area of responsibility
- Updating of website and social media platforms
- Generation of barcodes
- Conducting customer survey and analysis of results
Qualifications:
- University Degree in marketing, communications and/or public relations
- At least 2 years working experience in marketing and communications
- Knowledge of business administration and/or project management would be an asset
