Position: General Manager
We are seeking a General Manager who is passionate about team building, driving operational excellence, and elevating standards. The ideal candidate will lead by example, championing Mount Cinnamon’s mission to create authentic and timeless guest experiences while ensuring the financial health and reputation of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall performance and success of the hotel, including guest satisfaction, team engagement, and financial outcomes
- Develop and mentor the leadership team, ensuring the property’s goals are met while maintaining high standards across all departments
- Maximise occupancy and revenue while protecting and enhancing the brand’s reputation
- Uphold and enforce all company standards, policies, and values, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Analyse data and key performance indicators to guide decision-making, always striving for operational efficiency and profitability
- Lead with a collaborative spirit, setting the tone for a motivated, empowered team
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a luxury or 4-star hotel brand
- A degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel operations
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of team building and staff development
- Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant hotel management systems
- Fluent in English, with excellent customer service and decision-making skills
- Ability to anticipate and solve workplace issues while ensuring a positive team environment
