The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is proud to announce the launch of a vital health initiative aimed at promoting breast cancer awareness and early detection.
In collaboration with the Spice Island Imaging Centre, GHTA will offer free mammogram screenings during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, exclusively for its members, targeting women aged 40 and older.
This initiative is made possible through the GHTA’s Tourism Enhancement Fund, reflecting the association’s commitment to the well-being of its members and the broader community. Breast cancer remains one of the leading health concerns for women, and early detection is crucial for effective treatment and better outcomes. By providing access to free mammogram screenings, GHTA aims to empower women to take charge of their health and encourage regular check-ups.
“We are thrilled to launch this important programme in collaboration with Spice Island Imaging Centre” said Arlene Friday, CEO of the GHTA. “Health is a fundamental aspect of our community, and we believe that by offering these screenings, we can contribute to saving lives and raising awareness about breast cancer.”
To qualify for the free mammogram screening, participants must be GHTA members aged 40 and above. This initiative is not only a benefit for existing members but also an opportunity for new members to join and access health resources that can make a significant difference in their lives.
Registration Details: To register for the free mammogram screenings or to inquire about becoming a GHTA member, interested individuals are encouraged to reach out via email at [email protected].
This initiative is part of GHTA’s ongoing efforts to support the health and wellness of its members and the community at large. Together with the Spice Island Imaging Center, GHTA is committed to fostering a healthier Grenada.
