Nomination Day for candidates for the Parish Sports Councils have been extended from Monday, 15 April 2024 to Wednesday, 17 April 2024.
The Grenada National Sports Council Secretariat announced the rescheduling to accommodate persons who have not yet completed the required nomination forms.
Elections to the various executive positions take place on Monday, 29 April 2024. The result will be announced live.
Meetings were held in all parishes including Carriacou and Petite Martinique to explain the election process. Nomination of candidates and the elections of the executive council will all be electronically conducted.
The preliminary list of clubs, schools, teams, and others eligible to participate in the elections was distributed on Friday.
Stakeholders will be voting for an Executive Committee which comes from the members of the parish councils, and comprise the following officers:
- Chairman
- Vice-Chairman
- Secretary
- Treasurer (Finance Officer)
- Three Directors
Each Council will have its own parish office run by an Office Manager and Parish Coordinator. The Parish Sports Council in each parish comprises all registered clubs. For more information, please contact the Grenada National Sports Council, Secretariat on 473 440 6917 Ext 22029.
